Dr. Bill Sherman, Pastor

Dr. Bill Sherman is our pastor. He is a native Texan. Dr. Sherman pastored churches in Texas and Oklahoma before serving Woodmont Baptist Church in Nashville for 30 years. He came as our pastor in 2001. He is a graduate of Baylor University and received a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Theology degrees from Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. Dr. Sherman and his wife Veta have three children and six grandchildren.

 

 

 

 

 

 

John Bledsoe, Minister of Music

John, a native of Fairview, and his family have been active members at First Baptist since 1992. He was called to serve a Minister of Music in 2004. In this role he plans the music for the worship services, leads the adult and children’s choirs and works with other musical groups in the church. John is a graduate of Belmont University with a degree in Music Business. He and his wife Lisa have three sons.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Andrew Mangrum, Minister of Youth

Andrew is a native of Fairview and a graduate of MTSU and Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Andrew and Brad have served as a team since 2007. At their suggestion, a shift in position was made in February of 2010. Andrew began serving as Youth Minister and Brad moved to the Associate Youth Minister position. Andrew and his wife Stacey have two sons.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Brad Coleman, Associate Youth Minister

Brad has lived in Fairview most of his life and became a member of First Baptist Church in 1989. He began serving as Minister of Youth in April 2005. Brad is also employed as a property appraiser by the Williamson County Assessor’s Office. Due to responsibilities with that job, he requested a shift in position and began serving as Associate Youth Minister in February 2010. Brad and his wife Carrie have two children.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lois Shelton, Ministry Assistant

Lois serves in a variety of administrative roles in the church office. Lois and her husband Dean have been members of First Baptist since 1974 . She has served as Ministry Assistant since 1992.  They have three daughters and 3 grandchildren.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kim Sullivan, Financial Secretary

Kim serves in the church office with all areas related to finance. She and her family have been members of First Baptist since 1997 and she has served as financial secretary since 1999. Kim and her husband, Benny, have three sons.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jamie Gillette, Weekday Preschool Director

Jamie and her family are members of First Baptist, Fairview. She began teaching in the weekday preschool at First Baptist in 2000 and was hired as director in August 2010. Jamie and her husband Steven have three sons.
